Okay so I have to admit these four new kits that we released yesterday have me experiencing baby fever!! My little guy is almost 17 months old and I have loved every minute of him growing up but that’s just it he is getting so big. I want my little baby back…or maybe should I say PINK this time around??? I don’t know…but what I do know is that you are going to fall in LOVE with these four new cuties!
These four new kits are filled with so much CUTENESS you are going to die! We are featuring the adorable Bundle of Joy, A New Addition Girl AND Boy collections by Echo Park Paper. The papers are so sweet and precious and the colors are soft and delicate just like a new born baby.
Below you will see just what I am talking about. Check out each and every card as they have soooo many added details in them. Oh and the stickers used on the layouts are AMAZING! I squealed with excitement as I was creating with them cause there were so many to choose from and I LOVED them all. But no worries cause you will even have a few extras to use on additional layouts because I am certain you will have an abundance of pictures to scrap of that beautiful new bundle of joy.

It’s Tuesday’s Tips & Tricks with Nanci! Today I am going to show you how you can spice up your envelopes and add that extra wow factor to your cards. Below you will find a couple of different ways you can add pattern paper to your envelopes in no time at all AND it makes for a super cute addition to your already super cute cards!
First thing you will want to do is pick out a pattern paper that coordinates with your cards. Today I am featuring the Hello Sunshine collection by Doodlebug Design and a couple of cards from my current card kit for March. I usually just choose patterns from the collection that I’ve created with, that way it’s easy and the papers go well together. Below you can see I chose a nice white background with a small floral print (on left) to go with the Springtime card and a brown background with small floral print (on right) to go with the April showers bring May flowers card.
The next step is to choose what style of envelope you would like to use and measure it so you know how big to cut your pattern paper. I chose two different styles as you can see below.
Now you will want to turn your pattern paper over and trace around the envelope and then cut out the pattern paper. (Note: you trace on backside so pencil marks don’t show on good side)
Once you have cut out your pieces, ink the edges with a color that coordinates and then glue them to your envelope. (Note: I used a soft brown ink so that it defines the edges and gives it a finished look)
Now that you have completed those steps you have two matching envelopes to go with your adorable cards! How easy is that?!? It’s so easy you’re going to want to embellish every envelope now!! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you learned something new!

Hello everyone! I am writing this post today because I thought it would be fun to share with you my thought process behind creating cards and to give you a couple tips and tricks that I use every time in my creating process. I’ve been asked by many how I make my cards POP and what kind of supplies I use. So today I am going to share with you the steps I take to create beautiful cards. It’s all about the cards!!
I LOVE making cards! All sizes, shapes and colors but sometimes I find myself hanging onto these cards just to add to my collection, to admire them and simply look back on for inspiration. They are my creations, my work of art, a part of me. They are like my precious babies. I am very protective of them. Could they possibly mean that much to someone else? Would they appreciate them as much as I do? Will they treasure them as much as myself? After all I put a lot of time thinking and creating those beauties just to have them tossed in a drawer or even the trash… Does this sound familiar? Do you have these same feelings? If not great! YOU are who I strive to become BUT if you do have some of my same wild and crazy thoughts, I am here today to tell you WE need to stop!
Handmade cards are the best, don’t get me wrong but we need to stop thinking about our own feelings and addictions to these cuties AND start thinking about the people in our lives and how we can make a difference by sending them a little something to brighten their day. After all how excited and loved do you feel when you get a special handmade card. Isn’t that the most wonderful feeling! Don’t you want to make someone else feel that way? I am here today to help you become successful in creating and letting go….you will feel EVEN better when you know that your creation has put a smile on someone’s face and that you made a difference.
Now let’s get down to business!! How do I make my cards POP?!?!
I truly believe everyday is a day to be grateful for. We need to enjoy today, tomorrow and forever! Life is too short to be consumed by all the insecurities or crazy thoughts we may have. So this week my challenge to you is to create from the heart and create to make a difference. Brighten that special someone’s day with a beautiful creation you made especially for them, NOT your collection, your pride but from YOUR heart. The My Life collection by Echo Park Paper Co. inspired me to create the Life is Good Card kit this month. So if you are interested in purchasing this kit, simply click on the link ‘Life is Good Card kit’ under the ‘Other Links’ tab on the right side.
Thank you for stopping by, I hope I made a difference in your life. Creating is my passion and I love what I do. Until next time….]]>
